Two-Time Southern Arizona Player of the Year Daniel Henely Signs with Aztecs Men's Golf

The Pima Community College men's golf program received a huge commitment to its 2021 recruiting class.

  • The Aztecs signed Daniel Henely from Cienega High School. He is a back-to-back recipient of the Southern Arizona Player of the Year honor and two-time First Team Southern Arizona Golf All-Star by AllSportsTucson.com.
  • Henely competed in four State Championships with the Bobcats and averaged 70.1 per-round as a senior.
  • Coach's Quote: "Daniel's four state appearances and Southern Arizona Player of the Year awards speak for themselves," Pima men's and women's golf coach Marcus Smith said. "Daniel is a big time player and we are very excited on his commitment to Pima Community College. He has the talent and the mindset we look for in a recruit. I am thrilled that I will get the opportunity to coach him for the next two years."
