Jahara scores game-winner as Aztecs men's soccer downs No. 3 Phoenix College

The Pima Community College men's soccer team (8-1) handed Phoenix College (8-1) its first defeat of the season on Tuesday at the Kino North Stadium.

  • The No. 5 ranked Aztecs defeated the No. 3 ranked Bears 1-0 to win their eighth straight game.
  • Freshman Yuki Jahara scored on a long shot from the left side of the field that sailed to the upper-right corner of the goal in the 28th minute.
  • The Aztecs were held without a shot for the second half and finished with five for the game. Freshman Nils Roth had one save in the first half while sophomore David Silva finished with two in the second half.

The Aztecs hit the road on Thursday when they play at Yavapai College in Prescott at 6:00 p.m.
