Tucson, AZ -- Pima Community College (PCC) will move the soccer, basketball and volleyball seasons to Spring 2021 in order to align with national guidelines and keep students and the community safe during the COVID pandemic.

The Pima Community College Athletics program produced another 30+ student-athletes as the NJCAA All-Academic teams were released on Friday on the NJCAA website.

The Aztecs men's soccer team signed Micah Gün, a goalkeeper who attended International Gateway Academy in Istanbul, Turkey. The Pima Community College men’s soccer team signed goalkeeper Micah Gün to join the 2020 squad.

Sunrise Mountain All-Conference and All-Region player Lorenzo Nicolia commited to play for the Aztecs men's soccer team. He played in all 20 games this season leading the Mustangs to an 18-2 record. The Pima Community College men’s soccer team added Lorenzo Nicolia to the 2020 incoming class.

Chris Guzman-Rivera (Sahuarita HS), a forward, signed to the Aztecs men's soccer program after scoring 92 goals and 48 assists in 82 career games for the Mustangs. He was a four-year varsity player who was named first team All-Region each year. Photo courtesy of Chris Guzman-Rivera

The Pima Community College men’s soccer program added a standout high school player to its 2020 recruiting class.

The Pima Community College men’s soccer team added depth to its midfield and attacking as it signed another Southern Arizona recruit.

Sunnyside High School state champion Manuel Quiroz will join the Aztecs men's soccer program for the 2020-21 season. He had 39 goals and 21 assists for the Blue Devils in 2018. The Pima Community College men’s soccer program made a huge splash as it received a commitment from a former Southern Arizona state champion.

Zakariya "Zak" Mohamed (Rincon/University HS) is returning to Tucson to play his second year of collegiate soccer with the Aztecs men's soccer team. The Pima Community College men’s soccer team brought back a Southern Arizona product to play his second year of collegiate soccer at the Old Pueblo.

Aztecs men's soccer player Itsuki Ishihara signed his letter of intent to Mount Mercy University, an NAIA school in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Ishihara was part of the 2018 NJCAA Division I National Championship team and was selected to the NJCAA Division I All-Tournament team two straight years. Pima Community College men’s soccer player Itsuki Ishihara has found a new home where he will continue his educational and athletic endeavors for the next two years.

Aztecs men's soccer players Martin Cardenas (Sabino HS) and Daniel Suazo (Tucson Magnet HS) signed their letters of intent to play at Colorado State University-Pueblo, an NCAA Division II school in Pueblo, CO. Pima Community College men’s soccer players Martin Cardenas (Sabino HS) and Daniel Suazo (Tucson Magnet HS) signed their letters of intent to continue their education and collegiate careers at the four-year university level.

Aztecs men's soccer goalkepper Nils Roth signed his national letter of intent to play at the University of the Incarnate Word, an NCAA Division I school in San Antonio, TX.
