Ernesto Osornio and Nicholas Bianchi get selected United Soccer Coaches All-Americans
Pima Community College men's soccer players Ernesto Osornio (Ironwood HS) and Nicholas Bianchi (Pinnacle HS) earned another national award for their play in the 2022 season.
- Sophomores Osornio, a midfielder/forward and Bianchi, a forward, received recognition from the United Soccer Coaches after being named to the 2022 Junior College Division II Men's All-American Team.
- Osornio played in 16 games; making 14 starts and was second on the team with nine goals, eight assists and 27 points.
Osornio is a two-time NJCAA Division II second team All-American. He earned his second straight honor last week after the NJCAA released its teams. He earned his first honor as a freshman with Phoenix College. He is also a two-time first team All-ACCAC and first team All-Region I, Division II player. - Bianchi was selected second team NJCAA Division II All-American last week. He played and started in all 17 games with a team-high 16 goals and nine assists. He also earned first team All-ACCAC and first team All-Region I, Division II honors.
Bianchi played the previous two seasons at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) where he appeared in 15 games in his career. - They will be recognized at the All-American Ceremony & Reception; which is part of the United Soccer Coaches Convention, on January 14, 2023 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia.
