Nakai nabs her sixth career ACCAC Player of the Week honor

Pima Community College women's basketball player Jacqulynn Nakai (Coconino HS) had another stellar week as she was named ACCAC Division II Player of the Week on Tuesday for the week of Jan. 7-13.

Nakai, a sophomore guard, helped the Aztecs earn wins over South Mountain Community College and at Chandler-Gilbert Community College. She averaged 21.5 points, 7.0 rebounds, 8.0 assists and 2.0 steals. She had a double-double of 25 points and 10 rebounds in last Wednesday's win over the Cougars.
She is averaging 21.8 points, 4.6 rebounds, 7.1 assists and 2.1 steals for the season.
Nakai was named ACCAC Division II Player of the Week four times as a freshman and so far this year, selected for the week of Nov. 12-18.

The Aztecs are back in the NJCAA Division II rankings at No. 15. They return to action on Wednesday at Phoenix College. Tipoff is set for 5:30 p.m.
