Bribiescas earns her second ACCAC Player of the Week selection

Pima Community College women's basketball player Shauna Bribiescas (Dobson HS) nearly averaged a double-double last week as she helped the Aztecs clinched the No. 1 seed for the NJCAA Region I, Division I Tournament.

Bribiescas, a sophomore forward, earned her second nod as ACCAC Division II Player of the Week this season for the week of Feb. 18-24.
She averaged 23.5 points, 9.5 rebounds and 4.0 assists as the Aztecs earned victories against Chandler-Gilbert Community College and Phoenix College. She had 26 points and 12 rebounds against the Coyotes.
Bribiescas is averaging 16.0 points, 8.5 rebounds and 2.6 assists on the season and has nine double-doubles to her credit.

The Aztecs close out the regular season tonight at Glendale Community College. Tipoff is set for 5:30 p.m.
