Basketball forward Lawson earns second nod as ACCAC Player of the Week

Pima Community College women's basketball player Hallie Lawson (Campo Verde HS) snagged her second honor as ACCAC Division II Player of the Week.

  • Lawson earned the award for the week of Jan. 6-12 after she averaged a double-double of 15.5 points and 11 rebounds per game. The Aztecs earned wins at South Mountain Community College and against Chandler-Gilbert Community College. She also posted five assists, three steals and two blocks.
  • Lawson has played and started in all 16 games as she is averaging 13.3 points (team lead) and 6.6 rebounds per game.

The Aztecs will be back at the West Campus Aztec Gymnasium on Wednesday when they take on Phoenix College. Tipoff is set for 5:30 p.m.
