Perez's 22 point-average earns ACCAC Player of the Week

Pima Community College women's basketball player Alyssa Perez (Marana HS) had a great week on court as she was named ACCAC Division II Player of the Week on Tuesday for the week of Jan. 27-Feb. 2.

  • Perez, a sophomore guard, helped the Aztecs go 1-1 as they beat Arizona Western College in overtime but fell short in a comeback against Central Arizona College. Perez capped off the week with a 27-point performance against the Vaqueras.
  • She averaged 22 points and had a total of 10 rebounds, eight steals and five assists.

The Aztecs are back at the West Campus Aztec Gymnasium on Wednesday as they host Scottsdale Community College at 5:30 p.m.
