Aztecs women's basketball freshman guard Rylei Waugh (Westchester HS, CA) became the 19th NJCAA All-American in Pima women's basketball history as she was selected to the First Team. Waugh scored 580 this season and averaged 17.2 points, 5.7 rebounds and 5.4 assists. She broke the NJCAA Tournament record with 20 free throws made in a game and 40 free throws made for a tournament. Pima Community College women’s basketball player Rylei Waugh (Westchester HS, CA) can add another accolade to her 2023-24 season.

Freshman Rylei Waugh scored a season-high and new Pima Women's Basketball record of 43 points as the No. 13 seeded Aztecs defeated No. 10 Harcum College 98-87 to capture seventh place at the NJCAA Division II Tournament. The Pima Community College women’s basketball team (27-9) closed out the 2023-24 season on Saturday with a huge victory and left an imprint in the record books at the NJCAA Division II National Tournament.

Sophomore Jordan Joe was a flawless 7 for 7 from the field and 3 for 3 from beyond the arc while freshman Amelie Buffill-Gutierrez (Sabino HS) scored a season-high 16 points on 5 for 7 shooting as the No. 13 seeded Women's Basketball team beat No. 11 Southern Arkansas University Tech 88-67 to advance to the seventh-place consolation finals. The Pima Community College women’s basketball team (26-9) will play its final game on the final day of the season as it produced a balanced attack on Friday against Southern Arkansas University (SAU) Tech.

The No. 13 seeded Aztecs Women's Basketball team kept their season alive with a 79-66 win over No. 12 Parkland College in the seventh-place consolation bracket. Freshman Rylei Waugh finished with a team-high 21 points while sophomore Dominique Acosta (Nogales HS) finished with her 11th double-double of the season of 17 points and 13 rebounds. The Pima Community College women’s basketball team (25-9) bounced back in consolation bracket play on Wednesday at the NJCAA Division II Tournament in Joplin, MO.

Freshman Rori Hoffmeyer (Cibola HS) posted a double-double of 20 points and 10 rebounds but the No. 13 seeded Aztecs fell short in their comeback bid against No. 4 CCBC Essex 80-74. The Pima Community College women’s basketball team (24-9) faced a tough task on Tuesday as it took on the Community College of Baltimore County (MD) in the second round of the NJCAA Division II National Tournament.

Freshman Gabby Lopez sparked an 11-0 run in the second quarter while sophomore Dominique Acosta (Nogales HS) got the 21-2 run started in the third quarter as the No. 13 seeded Women's Basketball team beat Coastal Alabama CC-North 78-49 in the first round of the NJCAA Division II National Tournament. The Pima Community College women’s basketball team (24-8) opened play in the NJCAA Division II Tournament on Monday at the Leggett & Platt Athletic Center in Joplin, MO.

The Pima Basketball teams learned their placements in their respected NJCAA Division II National Tournaments. The men's basketball team will be the No. 9 seed and open play on Tuesday, Mar. 19 at the Mary Miller Center in Danville, IL. The women's team will be the No. 13 seed and open play on Monday, Mar. 18 at the Leggett & Platt Athletic Center in Joplin, MO. The Pima Community College men’s and women’s basketball teams will be part of the madness as both teams discovered what seeds they would be for their respected NJCAA Division II National Tournaments.

Sophomore Dominique Acosta (Nogales HS) scored 11 points with four rebounds and three blocks as she finished 5 for 7 from the field but the No. 2 seeded Aztecs Women's Basketball team fell in the Region I, Division II Semifinals to No. 3 Scottsdale Community College 49-43. The Pima Community College women’s basketball team suffered a rare feat on Thursday in its NJCAA Region I, Division II Semifinal matchup against Scottsdale Community College (18-11).

The Aztecs Women's Basketball team was well represented on the All-ACCAC and All-Region Teams. Freshman Rylei Waugh was named ACCAC Division II Player of the Year. Sophomore Dominique Acosta was named First Team All-ACCAC and Second Team All-Region. Freshman Gabby Lopez was selected ACCAC Division II Defensive Player of the Year. Freshman Gabby Lopez (Bisbee HS) finished with 15 points, four steals and three rebounds but the No. 11 ranked Aztecs Women's Basketball team fell at Eastern Arizona College 73-64 snapping their 11-game winning streak. The Aztecs close the regular season at 23-7 overall and 18-5 in ACCAC conference play. The Pima Community College women’s basketball team (23-7, 18-5 in ACCAC) closed out the regular season on Monday as it played at Eastern Arizona College (27-3, 20-3) in Thatcher.

The Pima Community College women’s basketball team (23-6, 18-4 in ACCAC) played its final regular season home game on Saturday against South Mountain Community College (1-26, 1-21).

Sophomore Dominique Acosta (Nogales HS) scored a team-high 19 points while freshman Rori Hoffmeyer (Cibola HS) had eight points and 11 rebounds (10 offensive) and two blocks as the No. 1 ranked Aztecs Women's Basketball team beat Scottsdale Community College 71-64 for their 10th straight win. The Pima Community College women’s basketball team (21-6, 17-4 in ACCAC) picked up its 10th straight victory on Wednesday after outlasting Scottsdale Community College (16-10, 12-9) in an ACCAC conference road matchup.

The Pima Community College women’s basketball team (21-6, 16-4 in ACCAC) dominated the second half against Glendale Community College (7-19, 3-17) on Saturday in route to its ninth straight victory.

The No. 12 ranked Aztecs Women's Basketball team picked up their eighth straight win after beating Phoenix College 100-50. The Aztecs had six players score in double figures as freshman Rori Hoffmeyer (Cibola HS) had a double-double of 14 points and 13 rebounds while freshman Annalise Holthaus (Ironwood Ridge HS) had 10 points off the bench.
