Sophomore Jaida Olson (Pusch Ridge Christian HS) has comitted to continue her collegiate career at Grand Canyon University. Olson was an NJCAA Division I National Champion in the Women's Pole Vault and broke the Pima school record in her only season with the Aztecs. The Pima Community College Athletics program produced four teams and a school-record of 50 individuals who were named NJCAA All-Academic.

The Pima Community College women’s track & field team closed out the 2022 season on Saturday at the NJCAA Division I National Championships in Hutchinson, KS.

Sophomore Abigail Walls (Tucson Magnet HS) earned NJCAA All-American honors after she placed seventh in the Heptathlon at the NJCAA Division I National Championships. The Pima Community College women’s track & field team earned more team points after the second day of competition at the NJCAA Division I National Championships on Friday in Hutchinson, KS.

Pima Community College track & field standout athletes Reece Gardner (Marana HS), Eliza Littlewood (Campo Verde HS) and Chalen Lozano (Marana HS) signed their letters of intent to continue their educational opportunities at four-year colleges.

The Pima Community College women’s track & field team came home with some hardware after the final day of competition at the NJCAA Region I Championships.

The Pima Community College women’s track & field team completed the third day of competition at the NJCAA Region I Championships on Tuesday.

Sophomore Eliza Littlewood (Campo Verde HS) claimed her second Heptathlon title on Tuesday at the NJCAA Region I Multi-Event Championships. She set personal-records in six of the seven events and took first place in the Long Jump. The Aztecs secured 21 team points for the Aztecs for the NJCAA Region I Championships next week in Mesa. The Pima Community College women’s track & field team opened the postseason on Monday and Tuesday at the NJCAA Region I Multi-Event Championships at Mesa Community College.

Freshman Candice Pocase (Santa Rita HS) and sophomore Nyah Torres (Millenium HS) were two of the six Aztecs who set personal-records on Friday at the Mesa Invitational. Sophomore Lucy Chavez (Bisbee HS) earned an NJCAA Outdoor national qualifying mark in the Discus with a throw of 41.36 meters (135-8) while fellow sophomore Jessica Bright-Schade (Safford HS) set her national qualifier in the Javelin with a throw of 37.36 meters (122-7). The Pima Community College women’s track & field team competed at the Triton Invitational hosted by the University of California San Diego on Friday and Saturday in La Jolla, CA.

Freshman Jaida Olson broke the Pima school record in the Pole Vault for the second straight week (12-feet, 5.50-inches). Sophomore Victoria Malaki earned an NJCAA Outdoor national qualifier in the Discus (137-8). Sophomore Abigail Walls (Tucson Magnet HS) finished the High Jump with a 1.60 meter (5-foot, 3-inch) jump as she ranks No. 2 nationally while freshman Darien Calicdan earned a personal-best in the Pole Vault with a mark of 3.08 meters (10-1.25). The Pima Community College women’s track & field team opened the Outdoor Season on Friday and Saturday at the Willie Williams Classic hosted by the University of Arizona at Roy P. Drachman Stadium.

Sophomore Lucy Chavez (Bisbee HS) earned NJCAA All-American status after she took eighth place in the Weight Throw with a mark of 1490 meters (48-feet, 10.75-inches) on her first attempt.
