Nash and Romine post double-doubles as Aztecs volleyball rallies passed Phoenix College

The Pima Community College volleyball team (6-10, 3-6 in ACCAC) got back on track on Friday at Phoenix College (7-10, 0-8).

  • The Aztecs rallied to beat the Bears in four sets (21-25, 25-19, 25-20, 25-16).
  • Sophomores Madi Nash (Sahuaro HS) and Jade Romine (Canyon del Oro HS) each posted double-doubles in kills and digs. Nash had 16 kills and 12 digs while Romine finished with 12 kills and 11 digs.
  • Sophomore Kendall Deeter (Mountain View HS) also had double figures in kills with 10 to go along with five blocks. Freshman Savanna White (Payson HS) closed out the match with nine kills and seven blocks.
  • Sophomore Kaleigh Hockett (Desert Mountain HS) finished with 46 assists and three aces.

The Aztecs will step away from ACCAC conference play on Tuesday when they play Park University-Gilbert at the San Tan Charter School's Recker Campus Gym. First serve is at 7:00 pm
