Aztecs volleyball sweeps Division I team Eastern Arizona College
The Pima Community College volleyball team (10-10, 5-6 in ACCAC) evened up its over record on Wednesday as the Aztecs earned a sweep on the road in ACCAC conference action.
- The Aztecs (Division II) defeated Eastern Arizona College (Division I) 25-23, 25-17, 25-20 in Thatcher.
- Sophomore Madi Nash (Sahuaro HS) produced her 11th double-double of the season as she finished with 14 kills and 12 digs. Fellow sophomore Kaleigh Hockett (Desert Mountain HS) finished with 34 assists and seven digs.
- Freshman Bergen Campbell had seven kills and three blocks while sophomore Kendall Deeter (Mountain View HS) posted six kills and four blocks. Freshman Aydalis Felix (Rincon HS) finished with 17 digs.
- The Aztecs avenged their four-set loss to Gila Monsters (11-13, 2-7) on Sept. 2 in a non-conference match.
The Aztecs return to the West Campus Aztec Gymnasium on Friday when they host Grand Canyon University Club in a non-conference match. First serve is set for 7:00 p.m.
