Brown and Tarwater represent Aztecs women's cross country at Vaquero "CAMPY" Invitational

The Pima Community College women's cross country team competed at the Vaquero "CAMPY" Invitational on Saturday in Coolidge.

  • Freshman Emalyn Brown (Canyon del Oro HS) finished 29th in the 5K (3.1 miles) race with a time of 23 minutes, 14.3 seconds. She shaved 40 seconds off of her time from last week's race at the ACCAC Championships.
  • Freshman Mykayla Tarwater (Tucson Magnet HS) placed 35th with a time of 24:25.9.
  • The Aztecs will compete in the ACU Invitational on Friday, Oct. 22 in Glendale. The women's race will be at 8:00 a.m.
