Freshman Maclain Roberts threw five innings, giving up three runs (one earned) on four hits with six strikeouts and two walks on 91 pitches but took the loss as No. 2 seeded Aztecs baseball fell to No. 4 South Mountain Community College 11-1 in the deciding Game 3 of the Region I, Division I Finals. The Pima Community College baseball team (45-16) struggled on offense in Game 3 of the Region I, Division I Finals on Saturday.

The No. 2 seeded Aztecs softball team beat No. 1 Eastern Arizona College 8-5 to claim their first Region I, Division I Championship since 2013. The Pima Community College softball team (42-12) is heading back to the NJCAA Division I National Tournament for the first time since 2013 as the Aztecs left Thatcher, AZ with some hardware.

Sophomore Brant Kragel hit a home run and finished 2 for 3 with three RBIs and a run scored while sophomore J.T. Drake threw seven innings, giving up two runs (two earned) on five hits with four strikeouts and two walks as No. 2 seeded Aztecs baseball tied the series with an 8-2 win over No. 4 South Mountain Community College. The Pima Community College baseball team (45-15) got back on track on Friday in Game 2 of the Region I, Division I Finals.

Freshman Marina Price (Rincon/University HS) hit a walk-off RBI double as the No. 2 seeded Aztecs Softball team beat No. 4 Central Arizona College 6-5 in their second game of the day. The Aztecs beat No. 3 Arizona Western College 6-4 in their first game of the day at the Region I, Division I Tournament. Freshman Talia Martin went 5 for 7 with with two RBIs, two runs scored and a walk for the day. The Pima Community College softball team (41-12) went 2-0 on the first day of the Region I, Division I Tournament in Thatcher, AZ.

The No. 2seeded Aztecs baseball team dropped Game 1 of the Region I, Division I Finals 3-1 to No. 4 South Mountain Community College. Sophomore Diego Alvarez (Sahuarita HS) pitched seven and one-third innings, giving up two runs (two earned) on five hits with 12 strikeouts and two walks as he suffered his first loss of the season (8-1). Sophomore nick Arias (Tucson Magnet HSD) had two of Pima's three hits on the day as he homered in the 8th inning and went 2 for 4 with an RBI and a run. The Pima Community College baseball team (44-15) opened the Region I, Division I Finals on Thursday at the West Campus Aztec Field against South Mountain Community College (35-24).

Aztecs softball featured six players on the All-Conference and five on the All-Region I, Division I team. Sophomore Camila Zepeda (Tucson Magnet HS) was named ACCAC Player of the Year. Jazmyne Waddell (San Manuel HS) was selected first team All-ACCAC. sophomore Alexis Tsosie-Hood, and freshmen Talia Martin and Aubrey Marx (Cienega HS) were named second team All-ACCAC. The Pima Community College softball team was well-represented as the Arizona Community College Athletic Conference selected its All-ACCAC and All-Region teams.

Pima Community College women’s golfers Myranda Moreno (Tucson Magnet HS) and Kayley Yanez (Marana HS) earned recognition from the ACCAC Conference and Region I.

Freshman Jessica Thompson (Tanque Verde HS) lost her no-hit bid in the 7th inning as she pitched a complete game, giving up one run (one earned) on one hit with nine strikeouts while fellow freshman Alyssa Noriega (Pueblo HS) finished the day 3 for 5 with two RBIs, two runs scored and three walks as Softball swept Arizona Western to close the regular season. The Pima Community College softball team closed out the regular season on Saturday with some statement wins at Arizona Western College (27-21, 19-13).

Sophomore RHP J.T. Drake threw a complete-game shutout, giving up three hits with 11 strikeouts and no walks as the No. 2 seeded Aztecs Baseball advanced to the Region I, division I Finals after sweeping No. 3 Arizona Western College with a 4-0 win in Game 2. The Pima Community College baseball team (44-14) is heading back to the Region I, Division I Championship round for a second consecutive season.

Freshman point guard Rylei Waugh (Westchester HS, CA) committed to San Jose State University, an NCAA Division I school in California. The Spartans play in the Mountain West Conference. Waugh played in all 35 games this season and owns the school record with 43 points in a single game. The Pima Community College baseball team (43-14) was forced to rally in the first game of the Region I, Division I Semifinals on Thursday against Arizona Western College (37-16) at the West Campus Aztec Field.

The Aztecs Men's Track & Field team captured their second straight Region I Team Championship with a total of 258 points. The Pima Community College men’s track & field team closed out competition at the Region I Championships on Thursday at Mesa Community College.

The Women's High Jump group secured 24 points as freshmen April Necaise and Ja'Niya Ross tied for first place while fellow freshman Izzy Green took third place. They all cleared 1.68 meters (5-6). The Pima Community College baseball team was represented in the All-ACCAC conference and All-Region I, Division I teams as seven players came away with accolades.

Aztecs women's golfers Myranda Moreno (Tucson Magnet HS) and Kayley Yanez (Marana HS) finished play in the Southwest District Tournament in Weatherford, TX. Moreno placed 32nd with a three-round total of 252 (82-86-84) and Yanez closed out the tournament in 33rd place with a 253 (89-82-82).
