Four score in double figures as men's basketball beats Chandler-Gilbert

The Pima Community College men's basketball team (6-3, 1-1 in ACCAC) secured a double digit lead after the first half and held on to gain its first ACCAC conference win of the season.

The Aztecs defeated Chandler-Gilbert Community College (2-4, 0-2) 91-76 on Wednesday in Chandler.

The Aztecs took a 48-33 lead at halftime and maintained the double digit margin in the win. The Aztecs and the Coyotes each scored 43 points in the second half.

Sophomore Deion James (Empire HS) finished the game with 17 points as he was one of four Aztecs who finished in double figures. Fellow sophomore Damon Dubots posted 16 points while sophomore Emilio Acedo (Salpointe Catholic HS) contributed with 15 points. Freshman Alize Travis finished with 12 points.

The Aztecs will be back at the West Campus gymnasium on Saturday when they host Glendale Community College at 4:00 p.m.
