Traivar Jackson becomes first 2-time NJCAA All-American for Aztecs Men's Basketball program

Pima Community College men’s basketball player Traivar Jackson closed out his career with the Aztecs and received honors from the NJCAA for the second straight year.

Sophomore Traivar Jackson scored a team-high 23 points while freshman Dilla Nabker (Salpointe Catholic HS) posted 14 points but the No. 1 seeded Aztecs fell to No. 2 Scottsdale Community College 90-69. Aztecs Men's Basketball falls to Scottsdale CC in Region I, Division II Finals

The Pima Community College men’s basketball season came to an end on Friday at the West Campus Aztec Gymnasium.

No. 1 seeded Aztecs Men's Basketball is heading back to the NJCAA Region I Division II Finals after they topped No. 4 Phoenix College 89-71 on Tuesday in the semifinal round. Sophomore Traivar Jackson finished with a double-double of 23 points and 11 rebounds. Freshman Jaylen Alexadner went 6 for 9 from the field and 7for 10 from thr foul line for 19 points. The Pima Community College men’s basketball team is heading back to the NJCAA Region I, Division II Finals for the first time since 2019-20.

Sophomore Traivar Jackson is now a two-time first team All-ACCAC and first team All-Region I, Division II player while fellow sophomore Cesar Saenz (Sabino HS) was also named second team All-ACCAC for the second straight year. Pima Community College men’s basketball players Traivar Jackson and Cesar Saenz (Sabino HS) earned recognition from the ACCAC Conference and NJCAA Region I for their contributions during the 2022-23 regular season.

Traivar Jackson (33 points, 10 rebounds), Jaylen Alexander (23 points) and Dillan Baker (21 points) combined for 77 points and went 32 for 43 (.744) from the field as the No. 15 ranked Aztecs men's basketball team topped Eastern Arizona College 104-90 in their regular season finale. The Pima Community College men’s basketball team (24-6, 16-6 in ACCAC) closed out the regular season on a high note on Tuesday at Eastern Arizona College (21-9, 14-8).

The Pima Community College men’s basketball team (23-6, 15-6 in ACCAC) built a lead in the first half and put Central Arizona College (5-21, 4-17) away in the second half on Saturday at the West Campus Aztec Gymnasium.

Pima Men's Basketball head coach Brian Peabody earned his 200th career win (200-125) with the Aztecs after his squad defeated Chandler-Gilbert Community College 97-62 on Wednesday at the West Campus Aztec Gymnasium. The Pima Community College men’s basketball team (21-6, 13-6 in ACCAC) put one back in the win column on Saturday in its win at Glendale Community College (11-15, 6-13).

The Pima Community College men’s basketball team (20-5, 12-5 in ACCAC) returned to the West Campus Aztec Gym on Saturday as it hosted Mesa Community College (8-16, 4-13).

The Pima Community College men’s basketball team (18-5, 10-5) swallowed a tough pill on Saturday in its attempt to hand Cochise College (21-2, 15-0) its first ACCAC conference loss of the season.

Freshman Mike Pope helped the Aztecs pick up wins over Phoenix College and Yavapai College as he was named ACCAC Division II Player of the Week for the week of Jan. 22-28.
