PCC men's golf tie for 3rd at Mesa Invitational
The Aztecs men's golf team tied for third place at the Mesa Invitational held at the Long Tree Golf Course in Chandler.
The Aztecs finished with a team score of 583 (293-290) and tied with Eastern Arizona College (583). Pima trailed by two strokes heading into the second day of play.
David Rauer (Cienega HS) had a five-stroke improvement from his first day as he finished with a two-day total of 143 (74-69). Anthony Moncada (Tucson Magnet HS) also shot a 143 (69-74) as he and Rauer finished tied for 10th place. Aaron Ramonett (Tucson Magnet HS) finished in 15th place with a total of 147 (75-72) while Frankie Wu (Canyon del Oro HS) closed it out with a 150 (75-75) and was tied for 21st.
The Aztecs will host the Pima Invitational at the Silverbell Golf Course on Mar. 16-17. The teams will tee-off on Monday at 11:00 a.m. and Tuesday starting at 8:30 a.m.
