Aztecs men's golf, Rauer in first place after second day at Region I Tournament
The Pima Community College men's golf team finished the second day of competition with a seven-stroke lead on Friday in the Region I, Division I Tournament.
The Aztecs have a two-day team score of 591 (296-295) at the Gold Canyon Golf Club in Gold Canyon, AZ. Eastern Arizona College is in second place with 598 (299-299). Scottsdale Community College sits in third place with 624 (318-324) and Estrella Mountain Community College is fourth with 653 (332-321).
Freshman David Rauer (Cienega HS) shot a two-under par 68 and is in first place with a two-day total of 141 (73-68). Anthony Moncada (Tucson Magnet HS) is in third place with a score of 145 (73-72). Frankie Wu (Canyon del Oro HS) is tied for fourth with a score of 149 (72-77). Wil Dennis is tied for 11th place with a 156 (78-78).
The third round continues tomorrow at the Gold Canyon Golf Club (Sidewinder Course).
