Aztecs men's golf improve scores in third round of NJCAA Nationals

The Pima Community College men's golf team completed the third round of play on Thursday at the NJCAA National Championship in Newton, KS.

Each Pima player improved from their second round scores but the Aztecs dropped to 16th place. The Aztecs finished with a team score of 303 and have a three-day total of 928 (296-329-303).

David Rauer (Cienega HS) moved up 13 spots in the individual standings to being tied for 20th after he finished with a two-under par 70. He had four birdies on the day and has a three-day total of 221 (75-76-70).

Frankie Wu (Canyon del Oro HS) finished the day shooting a 79 and is tied for 55th place with a 231 (71-81-79). Anthony Moncada (Tucson Magnet HS) had a nine-shot improvement in the third round after he finished with a 78 on the day. He is tied for 72nd with a 237 (72-87-78). Will Dennis had a 10-stroke improvement finishing with a 78. He has a three-day score of 244 (78-88-78) while Aaron Ramonett (Tucson Magnet HS) improved his score for the second straight round as he finished with a 77. He has a total of 249 (87-85-77).

The final round of the NJCAA National Championship will be tomorrow at the Sand creek Station Golf Course.
