Aztecs Men's Golf in Seventh Place after Third Round at NJCAA Nationals
The Pima Community College men's golf team completed the third round of competition in the NJCAA Division I National Championship on Thursday at the Duran Golf Club in Melbourne, FL.
The Aztecs collectively shot a two-under par 286 but dropped one spot in the team standings to seventh place. They have a three-day total of 865 (294-285-286).
Sophomore Frankie Wu (Canyon del Oro HS) shot a great round as he moved into ninth place in the individual standings. He shot a four-under par 68 on the day and is five-under for the tournament with a 211 (73-70-68).
Sophomore David Rauer (Cienega HS) dropped in the standings and is tied for 17th place as he shot a two-over par 74 on the day. He is two-under par with a three-day score of 214 (73-67-74).
Sophomore Will Dennis shot under par for the first time in this tournament as he closed out his round with a two-under par 70. He sits tied for 41st with a score of 220 (77-73-70).
Freshman Nick St. Clair (Higley HS) shot his best round as he finished with a 224 (75-75-74).
The Aztecs will complete play in the NJCAA Division I National Championship tomorrow. They begin to tee off at 7:50 a.m. (ET).
