Daniels shoots a 73 as men's golf opens play at NJCAA Championship

The Pima Community College men's golf team kicked off play on Tuesday in the NJCAA National Championship at the Buffalo Dunes Golf Course in Garden City, KS.

The Aztecs closed out the first round tied for 18th place out of 21 teams with a team score of 312.

Sophomore Jonah Daniels (Chaparral HS) shot a one-over par 73 for his round as he sits tied for 18th place in the individual standings.

Freshman Cooper Cordova (Mountain View HS) closed out his day with a three-over par 75 while sophomore Nick St. Clair (Higley HS) finished with an 81. Freshman Johnny Fiore (Marana HS) shot an 83 for his first round score.

The Aztecs continue play with the second round tomorrow at the Buffalo Dunes Golf Course.
