The Pima Community College men's soccer team (2-0-1, 2-0-1 in ACCAC) broke a tie in the second half to beat previously undefeated and No. 14 ranked Arizona Western College on Thursday.
Sophomore Alejandro Gonzalez (Flowing Wells HS) (pictured) scored two second half goals in Pima's 3-1 win. Tied at 1-1, Gonzalez put the No. 11 ranked Aztecs up for good when he netted a goal off of a rebounded shot by Jason Romero in the 68th minute. Gonzalez scored an insurance goal in the 72nd minute as he was being defended. He hit the left side of the goal.
Romero puts the Aztecs up early as he scored the first goal of the game in the 11th minute with a shot from the right side. Arizona Western tied the game in the 16th to make it 1-1 at halftime.
The Aztecs will host Glendale Community College at Kino North Stadium on Saturday at 7:00 p.m.
