Bristow and Heredia Net Goals as Men's Soccer Beat Mesa

The Pima Community College men's soccer team (7-0-2, 7-0-2 in ACCAC) gave up a second half goal but were able to hang on as it defeated Mesa Community College 2-1 on Saturday.

The No. 3 ranked Aztecs scored two first half goals and remain undefeated at the Kino Sports Complex.

Sophomore Ryan Bristow (Ironwood Ridge HS) (pictured) hit a shot from the left side to put the Aztecs on the board in the 28th minute. Freshman Juan Pablo Segura (Nogales HS) scored the second goal with an assist from sophomore Angel Heredia with 1:07 left in the first half (44th minute). Mesa scored their goal in the 74th minute.

Freshman goalkeeper Taylor Anderson (Salpointe Catholic HS) made some great saves to keep the Aztecs ahead. He finished the game with six saves. The Aztecs had 10 shots on goal while Mesa finished with seven.

The Aztecs will host GateWay Community College at the Kino North Grandstand on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m.
