The Pima Community College men's soccer team (18-2-2) faced a bit of trouble early in the game but held their ground and earned another shutout victory.

Robert Gorman scored the only goal of the game which proved to be enough as the No. 3 seeded Aztecs defeated No. 2 Arizona Western College 1-0 on Wednesday in Yuma. The Aztecs earned their fifth straight shutout win.

Arizona Western came out aggressive at the Pima net in the first six minutes but Taylor Anderson (Salpointe Catholic HS) made four crucial saves to keep it scoreless. He finished the game with six.

Sophomore Angel Heredia put a corner kick in play and Gorman found his spot and the back of the net with a header goal in the 24th minute.

Arizona Western outshot the Aztecs 8-6 for the game.

Phoenix College, No. 4 seed upset No. 1 seed Yavapai College 2-0.
