Aztecs women's basketball drops 2021-22 opener to the Mexican National Team

The Pima Community College women's basketball team (0-1) opened the 2021-22 season on Friday at the Eastern Arizona Classic.

• The No. 13 ranked Aztecs fell to the Mexican National Team 67-60. The Aztecs were outscored 23-7 in the first quarter but outscored them in every other quarter.
• Sophomore Angel Addleman (Palo Verde HS) led the Aztecs with 17 points to go along with five assists. Fellow sophomore Luisa Chavez (Rio Rico HS) added a double-double of 14 points and 11 rebounds. Sophomore Nikya Orange (Tanque Verde HS) posted eight points and 12 rebounds.
• The Aztecs will play Southwestern Assemblies of God University to close out the Eastern Arizona Classic on Saturday. Game time is set for 11:00 a.m.
