Aztecs women's golf finish 14th at NJCAA Nationals
The Pima Community College women's golf team closed out play in the NJCAA National Championship on Thursday at the Longbow Golf Course in Mesa.
The Aztecs finished in 14th place out of 15 teams with a tournament score of 1502 (370-374-373-385).
Paige Valles (Catalina Foothills HS) had three birdies on the day but finished with an 84 on the par 72 course. She was 33rd in the final individual standings with a 334 (83-83-84-84). Valles was named Second Team All-Region for her play during the regular season.
Rachel Blount (Sahuaro HS) finished 69th in the standings with an overall score of 367 (88-91-93-95). Carley Nelson (Marana HS) shot a 403 (97-98-100-108 while Casey Morinelli (Mountain View HS) had a 410 (102-102-104-102) and Jessica Nordby (Walden Grove HS) finished with a 416 (107-109-96-104).
