Myranda Moreno and Kayley Yanez close out play at the Southwest District Tournament

Aztecs women's golfers Myranda Moreno (Tucson Magnet HS) and Kayley Yanez (Marana HS) finished play in the Southwest District Tournament in Weatherford, TX. Moreno placed 32nd with a three-round total of 252 (82-86-84) and Yanez closed out the tournament in 33rd place with a 253 (89-82-82). Pima Community College women's golfers Myranda Moreno (Tucson Magnet HS) and Kayley Yanez (Marana HS) finished up play at the NJCAA Southwest District Tournament on Wednesday held at the Canyon West Golf Club in Weatherford, TX.

Moreno, a sophomore, closed out the final round with an 84 as she finished in 32^nd place with a 252 (82-86-84).
Yanez, a sophomore, shot an 82 for the second straight round as she placed 33^rd with a three-day total of 253 (89-82-82).

Moreno and Yanez await results of the other district tournaments being played to see if they advance to the NJCAA Division I National Championships. It is from May 19-24 at the Duran Country Club in Melbourne, FL. Moreno and Yanez would compete as individuals.
