Trinity Bethea and Reatta Danhof take down indoor school records, Roxy Christensen sets qualifier in Triple Jump at NAU Tune-Up
The Pima Community College women's track & field team competed in its final regular season meet of the Indoor Season on Friday at the NAU Tune-Up in Flagstaff, AZ
- The No. 18 ranked Aztecs had a school record broken, a national qualifier set and an improve qualifier on the day. They finish the indoor season with 12 national qualifying times and marks set.
- Sophomore Trinity Bethea (Pinon HS) broke her own Pima school indoor record in the 400-meter race as she finished with a time of 57.72 seconds. She set the record in the first met of the season at the Jim Mielke Memorial Invitational with a time of 58.36.
- Freshman Reatta Danhof (Ironwood Ridge HS) finished in fourth place in the 800-meter race and broke indoor school record with a time of 2:24.19. It broke Jacinta McMahon's 21-year record of 2:24.45 set in 2003.
- Freshman Roxy Christensen earned a national qualifying mark in the Triple Jump as she took fourth place with a jump of 11.45 meters (37-feet, 6.75-inches). She reached the feat on her second attempt.
- Sophomore Tianna Moseley improved on her national qualifier in the Triple Jump as she took first place with a jump of 12.10 meters (39-8.50). She set the new mark on her first attempt. Moseley improved her previous mark of 11.74 meters (38-6.25) set at the Jim Mielke Memorial Invitational.
The Aztecs will compete at the NJCAA Indoor National Championships on Friday and Saturday, Mar. 1-2 at the Alachua County Sports and Events Center in Gainsville, FL.
