Maylee Thompson takes fifth place in the Pentatlon in first day at NJCAA Indoor Nationals

Freshman Maylee Thompson (Willcox HS) took fifth place and earned four team points in the Pentatlon with a score of 3002 points. The Pima Community College women's track & field team closed out the first day of competition at the NJCAA Indoor National Championships on Friday at the Alachua County Sports and Events Center in Gainesville, FL.

  • The No. 20 ranked Aztecs sit tied for 18th place with a score of four points.
  • Freshman Maylee Thompson (Willcox HS) earned the four team points after she finished in fifth place for the Pentathlon with 3002 points. She set a personal-best and put herself fourth on the all-time Pima Indoor school records list.
