Felix, Soto and Vigil-German commit to 4-year institutions

Pima Community College volleyball sophomores Aydalis Felix (Rincon HS), Karla Soto (Nogales HS), and Andrea Vigil-German (Ironwood Ridge HS) committed to their next destinations in their collegiate journeys.

  • Felix signed her letter of intent to play at Fresno Pacific University, an NCAA Division II school in Fresno, CA. The Sunbirds play in the PACWest Conference.
    Felix was named Libero of the Year, second team All-ACCAC and All-Region I, Division II this season. She played in 25 of the 27 matches totaling 89 sets. She finished with 374 digs and 113 assists. Felix played three seasons and helped the Aztecs to three postseason appearances; including the NJCAA Division II South Central District Championship in 2020-21. She played in 64 matches, 224 sets with 886 digs and 200 assists in her career. She was a Third Team NJCAA All-Academic student-athlete in 2020-21.
  • Soto, a setter, signed her letter of intent to play at Saint Martin's University, an NCAA Division II school in Lacey, WA. The Saints play in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference.
    She played two seasons with the Aztecs and was named All-ACCAC Honorable Mention this season. Soto played in 25 sets and 94 sets with 516 assists, 246 digs and 34 kills. She led the ACCAC with 53 (0.56) service aces. She helped the Aztecs claim the South Central District Championship in 2020-21.
  • Vigil-German, an outside hitter, will continue her educational endeavors at Northern Arizona University as part of the Nursing Program. She was a First Team NJCAA All-Academic student-athlete in 2020-21.
    Vigil-German played in 26 matches and 89 sets this season as she finished with 221 kills and 250 digs. She scored a total of 261.0 points. She played in 37 total matches and totaled 324 kills in her Pima career. Vigil-German was part of the team that captured the South Central District crown.
