Aztecs baseball's Wong commits to University of Texas at Arlington

Pima Community College baseball multi-tasker Michael Wong has committed to play at the NCAA Division I level.

Wong, a right-handed pitcher and infielder, will play at the University of Texas at Arlington in the Sun Belt Conference.

Wong was named to the NJCAA All Academic First Team with a 4.0 GPA. He threw 62 innings last season for the Aztecs as he went 2-5 with a 3.77 ERA in 13 appearances. He had 21 walks and 47 strikeouts. On offense, Wong had 127 plate appearances with a .244 batting average. He had 31 hits, 18 RBIs, 14 runs scored and 23 walks.
