Martin Named WSFL/ACCAC Player of the Week

Pima Community College football player Justin Martin (Pueblo HS) was selected WSFL/ACCAC Offensive Player of the Week on Wednesday.

Martin, a freshman quarterback, helped lead the Aztecs to a 42-24 win at the Air Force Prep Academy in their season opener last Saturday in Colorado Springs, CO.

Martin went 17 for 32 with 360 yards passing and four touchdowns. He also scored a rushing touchdown and finished with 10 carries for 14 yards.

The Aztecs almost cracked the top 20 in the latest NJCAA national poll but were ranked No. 23. They will begin WSFL/ACCAC play on Saturday when they play at Arizona Western College in Yuma. The game starts at 7:00 p.m.
