Motes Named WSFL Special Teams Player of the Week

Pima Community College freshman punter Presley Motes (Thatcher HS) was selected as the Western States Football League Special Teams Player of the Week on Tuesday.

Motes had four punts for 145 yards and averaged 36.25 yards per punt in Pima's 21-9 loss against No. 2 ranked Arizona Western College last Saturday at Kino North Stadium. The Matadors had no punt return yards.

The Aztecs (2-4, 1-4 in WSFL) will be back at Kino North Stadium on Saturday when they host Phoenix College (5-3, 2-2) at 7:00 p.m. It will be Halloween Costume Night as anyone who dresses up in a costume gets in for free. There will be a costume contest at halftime with the top three costumes receiving an Aztecs gift.
