Cotton nominated for All-American as four football players named All-Conference; five selected All-Region

Pima Community College football players were recognized by the Western States Football League, Arizona Community College Athletic Conference and Region I as the All-Conference and All-Region teams were released on Wednesday.

Sophomore Jeff Cotton (Mountain View HS) was selected first team All-WSFL/ACCAC and first team All-Region at wide receiver. Cotton will be nominated for NJCAA All-American consideration. He racked up 837 yards on 43 receptions with six touchdowns as he played and started in all nine games this season. He was first in the conference averaging 93.0 yards receiving per game.

Sophomore Jordan Agasiva was named first team All-WSFL/ACCAC and first team All-Region as an offensive lineman. The Aztecs averaged 29.3 points and 357.6 yards per game (122.4 rushing and 235.1 yards passing per game).

Sophomore Kana'i Picanco was added second team All-WSFL/ACCAC and second team All-Region at linebacker. He led the team with 70 total tackles (61 solo). He also had six tackles-for-loss and two sacks in eight games played.

Sophomore Paul Davis (Desert Edge HS) was selected second team All-WSFL/ACCAC and second team All-Region at defensive back. He was second on the team with 54 tackles (48 solo) and finished with 15 pass-breakups, two interceptions and two forced fumbles. Davis also played in all nine games this season.

Freshman quarterback Justin Martin (Pueblo HS) was named second team All-Region. He threw for 1,918 yards with 17 touchdowns and six interceptions as he played in all nine games. He was second in the conference averaging 213 yards passing per game. Martin led the Aztecs in rushing with 331 yards on the ground and four touchdowns..

The Aztecs finished the season with a 3-6 overall record and 2-5 in WSFL/ACCAC conference play.
