Trammell scores 24, Dixon has double-double as Men's Basketball trounces Ottawa JV
The Pima Community College men's basketball team (4-0) earned another lopsided victory in non-conference play at Wednesday at the West Campus Aztec Gymnasium.
- The No. 17 ranked Aztecs beat Ottawa University JV 144-64. This was the third straight game the Aztecs have scored 130 points or more. They are averaging 128 points in the first four games.
- The Aztecs shot 69 percent from the field (64 for 93) for the game. Sophomore Quincey Trammell led the Aztecs with a game-high 24 points on 11 for 12 shooting. He also had six rebounds and four blocks.
- Freshman Griffin Effenberger scored all 18 of his points in the second half as he went 7 for 10 from the field and 4 for 5 from three-point range. He also added four assists and three steals.
- Freshman Itury Kitt (Eastpointe HS) finished with 15 points as he went 7 for 10 from the floor. Sophomore Daniel Moody (Walden Grove HS) scored 14 points and had eight rebounds while freshman Damon McDowell Jr. also posted 14 points.
- Sophomore Chrishon Dixon had a double-double of 13 points and 11 assists to go along with five rebounds. Freshman Traivar Jackson had 12 points, six rebounds, four steals and two blocks.
- The Aztecs return to the West Campus Aztec Gymnasium on Saturday when they host Arizona Christian University JV at 2:00 p.m.
