Aztecs men's golf close out 2018 season at NJCAA National Championships

The Pima Community College men's golf team completed play in the NJCAA Division I National Championship on Friday at the Rawls Golf Course in Lubbock, TX.

The Aztecs finished 20th out of 21 teams in the final team standings as they shot a four-round total of 1242 (304-313-307-318).

Sophomore Cooper Cordova (Mountain View HS) finished with the best overall score for the Aztecs. He shot a 3-over par 75 in his final round and had a score of 306 (73-78-80-75) which put him tied for 68th in the individual standings.

Freshman Diego Cueva-Schraidt (Sabino HS) struggled in his final round a day after shooting under par. He shot an 82 and finished with a 312 (78-81-71-82). Sophomore Bobby Padilla (Catalina Foothills HS) shot a 313 (77-79-76-81).

Sophomore Johnny Fiore (Marana HS) posted a 315 (76-78-81-80) while freshman Trevor Gregoire (Canyon del Oro HS) had a 321 (80-78-80-83).
