The Pima Community College men's soccer team (3-0-1, 3-0-1 in ACCAC) took an early lead and the defense did the rest on Saturday at Kino North Stadium.
The No. 11 ranked Aztecs defeated Glendale Community College 2-0 as they allowed six shots on goal and freshman goalkeeper Taylor Anderson (Salpointe Catholic HS) made a couple of diving saves to help secure the shutout. He finished the game with six saves.
Sophomore Niels Kool (pictured) put the Aztecs on the board with his goal in the 7th minute with an assist from fellow sophomore Angel Heredia.
Sophomore Alejandro Gonzalez (Flowing Wells HS) added an insurance goal in the 76th minute after sophomore Jason Romero chipped the ball over a pair of Glendale defenders to help set up the goal.
The Aztecs will play at Chandler-Gilbert Community College on Monday at 7:00 p.m.
