Alomogordo HS softball player Gentry signs to play for Pima
The Pima Community College softball team signed a standout New Mexico product for the 2017-18 season.
Sierra Gentry, a 5-7 infielder, outfielder and pitcher from Alomogordo High School (N.M.), signed her letter of intent to play for the Aztecs.
Gentry was on the West Texas A&M team last season where she played in 21 games and had a .333 batting average with three homers and 12 RBIs.
Gentry played in 27 games her senior year at Alomogordo with a .385 batting average. She hit nine home runs with 35 RBIs and 27 runs scored in 78 at-bats. Gentry pitched 92.2 innings her senior year and went 7-11 with a 3.78 ERA with 67 strikeouts in 22 appearances; making 18 starts.
