Softball's Flores signs to Valparaiso University

Pima Community College softball player Megan Flores (Salpointe Catholic HS) signed her letter of intent on Wednesday to play at the four-year college level.

Flores, a sophomore infielder, signed to Valparaiso University, an NCAA Division I institution in Indiana where she will continue her education and collegiate career.

Flores played in 44 games this season batting .454 with 64 hits, 37 RBIs, 36 runs scored, 16 doubles and 21 walks in 141 at-bats. She had a fielding percentage of .943. In her freshman season, Flores hit .329 with two home runs and 32 RBIs to go along with 50 hits, 33 runs scored, 19 walks and eight doubles in 152 at-bats. She had a fielding percentrage of .952.
