The Pima Community College women's basketball team (3-1, 1-0 in ACCAC) opened ACCAC conference play at the West Campus on Wednesday with a victory.
The No. 10 ranked Aztecs used a 26-15 third quarter to help beat Chandler-Gilbert Community College 77-70. Pima led 39-36 at halftime.
Sophomore Taylor Blue (Peoria HS) led the way with a game-high 23 points and eight rebounds off the bench. Freshman Denesia Smith (Cienega HS) had 16 points and six steals while freshman Sydni Stallworth (Palo Verde HS) contributed with 13 points and two assists.
The Aztecs will look to avenge its Region I, Division II semifinals loss from last season as they host Phoenix College on Saturday. The game is at 2:00 p.m. at the West Campus.
