Aztecs Women's Soccer Suffer First Loss at Chandler-Gilbert

The Pima Community College women's soccer team (4-1, 4-1 in ACCAC) lost for the first time this season on Monday at Chandler-Gilbert Community College.

The No. 5 ranked Aztecs gave up two goals in the second half in their 3-2 loss in Chandler. The Aztecs took a 1-0 lead but the game was tied at 1-1 at halftime.

Freshman Alexis Aguirre (Nogales HS) (pictured) put the Aztecs ahead after she scored a goal with an assist from sophomore Devyn Hunley (Sabino HS). Hunley netted the second goal. Freshman Daniela Sanchez (Sabino HS) finished the game with four saves.

The Aztecs had outscored their opponents 10-0 before Monday's game.

The Aztecs will be back at the Kino Sports Complex but will play at the North Grandstand on Thursday against Scottsdale Community College. The game is set to start at 4:30 p.m.
