Park Has Hat Trick as Aztecs Women's Soccer Earn Third Straight Shutout Win

The Pima Community College women's soccer team (16-1-2, 16-1-2 in ACCAC) continue to dominate in its final road tests of the regular season as the Aztecs earned its third straight shutout victory.

The No. 11 ranked Aztecs defeated GateWay Community College 4-0 on Thursday at the Rose Mofford Sports Complex in Phoenix.

Sophomore Brandi Park (Sabino HS) led the charge as she scored a hat trick. She put the Aztecs on the board with a penalty kick goal in the 40th minute. The Aztecs led 1-0 at halftime. Park came back and scored her second goal off another penalty kick in the 70th minute. She sealed the win with her third goal of the game in the 87th minute.

Freshman Destiny Jones (Canyon del Oro HS) scored her goal to put Pima up 3-0 in the 81st minute that was assisted by Park.

The Aztecs have won 12 of their last 14 games and earned their 11th shutout victory of the season.

The Aztecs will close out the regular season and look to seal the No. 1 seed for the Region I, Division I tournament on Saturday at Glendale Community College. The game will start at 11:00 a.m.
