The Pima Community College women's soccer team (11-4, 11-4 in ACCAC) won its fourth straight game on Thursday as the Aztecs earned a shutout victory against Scottsdale Community College (9-3-2, 9-3-2).
The Aztecs defeated the Artichokes 2-0 as Pima has won seven of their last eight games.
Sophomore Alexis Aguirre (Nogales HS) put the Aztecs on the board in the 4th minute as she scored off a rebounded shot. The Aztecs took a 1-0 lead at halftime.
Sophomore Destiny Jones (Canyon del Oro HS) found the back of the net after she hit a shot from 25 yards out in the 71st minute.
The Aztecs outshot the Artichokes 14-6. Sophomore Daniela Sanchez (Sabino HS) finished the game with six saves.
The Aztecs avenged their 1-0 double overtime loss to the Artichokes last month in Scottsdale.
The Aztecs will take to the road on Saturday when they play GateWay Community College at the Rose Mofford Sports Complex in Phoenix. The game will start at 7:00 p.m.
