Aztec Women's Soccer is Shut Out Against Chandler-Gilbert

The Pima Community College women's soccer team (12-5, 12-5 in ACCAC) had its five-game winning streak snapped as the Aztecs came up short on Tuesday against Chandler-Gilbert Community College (12-4, 12-4).

The Aztecs were shutout as they fell 1-0 at Kino North Stadium. The loss also snapped Pima's streak of four straight shutout victories.

The Coyotes scored the only goal of the game in the 66th minute on a shot that sailed over goalkeeper Daniela Sanchez's (Sabino HS) head in the upper right corner.

The Aztecs had their chances in the first half but couldn't find the back of the net as they finished with seven shots on goal. The game was scoreless at halftime.

The Aztecs finished the game outshooting the Coyotes 7-3. Sanchez, this week's ACCAC Goalkeeper of the Week, finished with two saves.

The Aztecs were swept by the Coyotes in regular season head-to-head meetings. The Aztecs lost in Chandler 3-1 last month.

Pima will be on the road on Thursday when they play at Glendale Community College. The game will start at 3:30 p.m.
