Midfielder/Forward Mari Acosta named ACCAC Co-Player of the Week

Pima Community College women's soccer player Mari Acosta (Sahuarita HS) earned recognition from the ACCAC Conference on Monday for her stellar performance.

• Acosta, a freshman midfielder/forward, was named ACCAC Co-Player of the Week for the week of August 30 – September 5. She received the honor along with Scottsdale Community College freshman Emma Green.
• Acosta, along with the Aztecs, have had strong starts to the season. She scored a goal and had an assist in Pima's 5-0 win at Glendale Community College. She went on to score two goals in their 6-0 victory at Mesa Community College. The Aztecs have started the season at 3-0.
• Acosta has four goals and nine points in the first three games.
• The No. 11 ranked Aztecs return to the West Campus Aztec Soccer Field part of the Chapman Automotive Sports Complex on Tuesday when they host Chandler-Gilbert Community College at 5:30 p.m.
