The Pima Community College volleyball program received its ninth commitment for the 2018 season.

Jade Romine, an outside hitter from Canyon del Oro High School, signed her letter of intent to play for the Aztecs.

Romine was named second team 4A Region All-Region as she played in 34 sets this season with 62 kills, 66 digs and 21 aces. As a junior, Romine produced 277 kills, 214 digs and 48 aces in 107 sets played.

"I am very excited to welcome Jade to our team and program. Hopefully it says a great deal about our potential that we can bring a player aboard with Jade's experience and abilities this late in the recruiting process," Pima volleyball coach Dan Bithell said. "Jade is an elite passer and dynamic attacker and brings a high level of experience. More importantly, Jade is exactly the type of person we want to be Aztecs; hard-working, determined, high character and caring. I couldn't be more thrilled with Jade becoming a part of our family."

Romine joins Emily Robinson (Cienega HS), Ashlee Sappington (Mountain View HS), Grace Adams (Sabino HS), Kendall Deeter (Mountain View HS), Madi Nash (Sahuaro HS), Annie Pena (Sabino HS) and Mackenzie Welch (Willcox HS) on the 2018 squad.
