Bio

Zach Roth joined Pima Athletics as the Women’s Volleyball Strength & Conditioning Coach in August 2022. Roth, a 2015 graduate of Northern Arizona University, came to Pima with experience at four different Division I schools.

Most recently, Roth worked at Temple University as an Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach overseeing the training of Men’s Soccer, Gymnastics, Crew, Men’s Cross Country, and assisting in the training of Women’s Volleyball and Women’s Basketball. Prior to his 4-year tenure at Temple he worked as an Assistant Strength Coach at Butler University where his responsibilities included overseeing all of Track & Field, Women's Swimming and a brand-new Women's Lacrosse program, as well as assisting with Men’s and Women’s Basketball and Football. As a student and post-grad Coach Roth completed work at Northern Arizona University and the University of San Francisco.

Roth has additional experience as the Athletic Director at Sabino High School, and through Palo Verde High School as an athlete development teacher/coach. Roth, who started his collegiate career at the University of Northern Colorado where he was a walk-on wide receiver for the football team, carries specialized certifications through the CSCCa and the NSCA.

As a new father he enjoys time with his family, exploring new restaurants, and hiking with family and friends in his spare time.
