Football's Hall named WSFL Player of the Week; Aztecs move to No. 14 in NJCAA poll
Pima Community College football player Derik Hall (Sahuaro HS) earned recognition for his play from the WSFL conference on Tuesday.
- Hall, a sophomore defensive back, was named WSFL Defensive Player of the Week. He is the fourth Aztec football player to be selected Player of the Week.
- Hall had 12 tackles (nine solo) with two tackles-for-loss for six yards and one pass-break-up in Pima's 21-13 win over Air Force Prep on Saturday at Cholla High School.
- Quarterback Brooks Ringer (Offensive), kicker Jaime Avila (Special Teams) and slot receiver/return specialist Diamante Burton (Special Teams) have all been named WSFL Player of the Week.
- The Aztecs moved up four spots in the latest NJCAA national poll to No. 14.
The Aztecs will play their final home game on Saturday against No. 9 Eastern Arizona College at Kino North Stadium. Kickoff will be at 1:00 p.m.
