Aztec Men's Basketball Beat Impact Academy Behind 52 Bench Points

The Pima Community College men's basketball team (2-0) put together its second straight dominating performance on Saturday as the Aztecs won a non-conference game against Impact Basketball Academy (NV) 127-68.
The Aztecs started the game on a 23-0 run as Impact scored its first points at the 14:12 mark. Pima led 64-25 at halftime and outscored Impact 63-43 in the second half.
Six Aztecs scored in double figures and the Pima bench scored 52 points. Sophomore Dakota Kordsiemon (Catalina Foothills HS) had a double-double of 20 points and 10 rebounds. Freshman Ilunga Moise (Raymond S. Kellis HS) also contributed off the bench with 19 points and nine rebounds.
Sophomore Deion James (Empire HS) had a team-high 25 points and eight rebounds. Freshman Isaiah Murphy (Cienega HS) finished the game with 18 points and seven assists while sophomore Damon Dubots had 13 points and 10 rebounds. Sophomore Zach Evans (Hamilton HS) had 12 points, five rebounds and five assists.
The Aztecs will continue their non-conference schedule against Arizona Christian University on Wednesday at the West Campus Gymnasium. The game starts at 6:00 p.m.
