Pima Community College men's basketball player Rashad Smith (Hamilton HS) signed his letter of intent to an NCAA Division I program on Wednesday.

  • Smith, a 6-5 guard, signed to play at Grand Canyon University out of Phoenix, AZ. The Antelopes play in the Western Athletic Conference (WAC).
  • The Aztecs kicked off the 2019-20 season last Saturday with a 114-77 win. Smith finished with a double-double of 21 points and 10 rebounds.
  • Smith picked up where he left off last season as he played and started in all 36 games as a freshman. He averaged 13 points, six rebounds, five assists and 1.6 steals per game.

The Aztecs will host the Pima Community College Kick-off Classic on Thursday, Friday and Saturday at the West Campus Aztec Gymnasium. They'll play Lee College on Thursday at 6:00 p.m.
